A Beautiful Vineyard Summer Wedding at Stanlake Park

As a North East wedding photographer it’s always nice to travel for weddings. This was my first time at Stanlake Park and it didn’t disappoint!

Katie & James planned a relaxed day at a stunning vineyard just outside of London (well, near Reading but I am from the North and geography isn’t my strong point so basically London). Stanlake Park hosted the whole day and I started with Katie and her bridesmaids in the Bow Loft to capture getting ready. The Bow loft space is split over two floors so provides plenty of room and includes loads of mirrors (if that’s important to you). The Bow Loft opens straight on to the Coach House ceremony room so you don’t have a long walk and saves your nerves having too long to build up. I had such a laugh with Katie and her Bridesmaids, loads of nerves but also excitement for the day ahead.

The Coach House ceremony space has large windows across one side so provides plenty of light and Katie & James had a wonderfully emotional ceremony before heading straight out to the huge Courtyard lawned space for their drinks and canapés. This is one of my favourite parts of a wedding, everyone hugging and congratulating the couple, I get the first glimpse of the guests and the couple together. The weather was amazing and Katie & James had worked with the venue and stylists to create a unique look with lots of personal touches, including a tub full of ice and beers.

We all headed to the Vineyard Barn for the speeches and food and the incredible styling continued. The barn looked stunning and boasts high beams, loads of natural light and history dating back to the 19th century. It is the perfect space for a wedding reception and has a very warm and welcoming feel. We had more emotion during the speeches and I also had a chance to take Katie & James for a little relaxed walk around the vineyards themselves for some couples portraits. Of course these were very relaxed but made the most of the lovely sunset light around the vineyard. The outside space at Stanlake Park is amazing and it’s a dream to photograph weddings there.

The evening also took place in the Vineyard Barn with lots of dancing and partying for all the wedding guests. The barn offers loads of space and also has the bar in the same space, which I like as it keeps everyone together. It’s one of my new favourite venues and hopefully the photos show you why. Take a look below for a few of my favourites from this Stanlake Park wedding.
