Whinstone View Wedding

Wrays Barn was the setting for the gorgeous Whinstone View Wedding of Immy and Phil. We had sun and rain but nothing stopped this epic wedding and party.

As we were nearing the end of May and very much in the 2019 wedding season, I headed to Great Ayton, a small village in North Yorkshire on the edge of the North York Moors. A stunning location near Teesside, with views of Roseberry Topping and surrounded by amazing countryside. Immy chose her parents cottage to get ready whilst Phil used the lovely wood lodges at Whinstone View.

Immy and Phil now call London home but come from the the lovely village of Great Ayton. Their history and family brought them back to North Yorkshire for their wedding day. The family links carried through to the ceremony with the grooms dad, Keith conducting the ceremony. It was a real pleasure to be part of Immy and Phils day, they have known each other since they were young and you could see the love throughout the ceremony and the whole day.

Whinstone View Wedding

Whinstone View is a wedding venue located in Great Ayton. Home to a spa, luxury lodges, bistro and Wrays barn, it’s one of my favourite North Yorkshire wedding venues and a truly fantastic venue for your wedding. Immy and Phil used Wrays barn for their wedding breakfast and reception. Phils brother played the first dance song which was a lovely touch before the groom, Phil joined the band and played two sets, much to all the guests enjoyment.

The speeches were full of laughter, tears and joy before Immy and Phil cut the cake made from Cheese. The guests were entertained with table tennis, garden games, the fantastic sounds of Matt Case and his Saxophone and could even chill out next to the open fire in Whinstone Views Tipi.

I want to say a huge thanks to all the staff at Whinstone View, as always they were fantastic and thanks to all the other suppliers who made the day so special.

Finally a massive thanks to Immy and Phil and all their friends and family who made me feel like part of the wedding and allowed me to capture the day. Congratulations, you guys absolutely killed it and the day was so much fun.
